History On The Hill

Nestled in the beautiful Blackstone Valley, Kirkbrae is a par 72 championship golf course that offers fun and challenging play to everyone who loves the game. Kirkbrae was originally designed in 1960 by renowned architect Geoffrey Cornish. Over the years we've evolved Cornish's work – continually improving the course to suit the preferences of our members. Today, Kirkbrae is considered one of the best golf courses in New England.

Established in 1961 with complete renovations first in 2008 and again in 2020, Kirkbrae Country Club features an Olympic-size heated swimming pool, a fully equipped health facility, a special events facility with seating for 380 guests and a 240 seat members lounge. The Club is open year-round and operates seven days a week. Today, some sixty years after first opening, Kirkbrae has emerged as one of the finest private country clubs in New England and has become a premier choice for weddings, milestones, corporate meetings and golf events.

Conveniently located just 15 minutes north of Providence, 30 minutes from Worcester, and 45 minutes from Boston, Kirkbrae offers the perfect atmosphere with fabulous and unparalleled service.

Renovated in 2020

In 2019, the Board of Governors hired the internationally acclaimed, award-winning design team of J. Brice Design International out of Boston who, with over 30 years of high-end hospitality design experience, sets the bar for distinct and memorable interiors. After an extensive renovation to the club’s events facility in 2020, the ballrooms feature a modern look with Turkish light fixtures, customized wall sconces and a neutral palette to satisfy every event design. You also cannot forget the stunning views overlooking the Blackstone Valley Kirkbrae is known for.
